HOW TO GET THERE
By rail/bus: Nearest station – SURBITON
- about 20 minutes from Waterloo and about 10 minutes walk from
Surbiton or buses K3 and 514.
To walk from Surbiton Station: Turn left out of
the main forecourt of the station and walk to the end of Victoria
Road (YMCA on left). Cross over and continue in same direction along
Victoria Avenue to Victoria Park. Walk across the park to gate at
far left hand corner. Cross over St Marys Road and turn right and
then left into Effingham Road.
By car from central London: Take the A3 (Kingston
by-pass) to junction with A243 (Hook underpass). Turn right and
follow A243 to Surbiton (passing YMCA on right) and to first set
of traffic lights. Turn left into Balaclava Road. Follow the road
round to the left (round Victoria Park) and then immediately right
into Effingham Road. No. 25 is on the left.
By car from the West: Take the A308 (Staines/Sunbury/Hampton
Court Road) to Hampton Court. Turn right over Hampton Court Bridge
and follow A309 to 2nd roundabout. Turn left into A307 signposted
Kinston. At first traffic lights turn right. Pass recreation ground
on left then first left is Effingham Road. No. 25 is on right.
Parking: 25 Effingham Road is a private house in
a residential street. There are no parking restrictions, but do
park with due consideration to the neighbours!
